The Buddy System is not a new concept by any means...I think each of us has heard "use the buddy system!" from our mothers at some point. When we were younger we'd roll our eyes & say "ok mom," but these days, our group of girlfriends has been lonely for that companionship that used to be forced on us. What we once were complacent with, we now NEED.
Since graduation from college (ahh, college) our girlfriends have been separated by hours of road travel and highways, and limited by finances. We were spread across different cities on the East Coast, and would spend our Friday nights with our good friends Juicy sweats, Bravo reruns, & Merlot. Going out, which was once a twice weekly activity, turned into a twice monthly venture. We'd catch up on Monday morning and we'd say to one another "I love [insert name of city here], but I need to make new girlfriends outside of work."
We were two of them. We've had enough. Ladies, we are going to make friends with you and help you make new friends in your new environment. We are too young & too fun to be missing out such ample nightlife. This is The Buddy System.
We all want to go out, blow off some steam, have a few cocktails, dance to "Since You've Been Gone" and meet new guys or talk about our boyfriends. Everyone needs a GNO (girls night out, duh!) and everyone needs to do it safely. We want to help you meet new friends and go out without the fear of being alone at a bar, vulnerable to whatever creeps are out there. Think of it as networking, without the agendas, slides, or business cards, and more champagne.
We're just getting started & have some really cool ideas in mind, but we want your feedback! Venues, nights of week, etc - we're open to it all.
